The phone rang today and my husband answered it. He looked across the room at me.
"What?" I said, putting down the newspaper.
"You've read it then?" my husband said. There was silence in our sitting room. "Is she? No, I have no idea why she is calling me 'TW' in it.'' He continues staring at me. "No, it does not stand for that. Definitely not."

Tight Wad?
OK, I give up. This is a complete mystery to me.
I used to enjoy this blog and now it is becoming hard to follow and therefore boring. Explain yourself, please.
I must say I found the "TW" bit a little disconcerting at first. :-)
TW
I've also come here from Iain Dale. Feels so personal I have to introduce myself, lurking seems wrong! Very much enjoying your writing; as others have suggested there is a book in this. Best wishes
So wblog hat does TW stand for, if not your husband's name? Just wondering. I am enjoying your blog musings very much; keep up the interesting work.
You know I don't think I am going to say yet. I just felt I couldn't use his real initials.
(I will say that any sort of tribute to Tom Watson was subconscious and entirely coincidental.)
Well, since your post rules out the obvious one :-), I am guessing it's a literary reference.
My first thought was North and South but I can't recall any TW characters in that.
However something C19 with both northern and metropolitan references still feels right - Dickens, Thackeray, Brontes?
Am I at all warm?
tyneside wannabe?
re botogol:warm but no cigar
How about:
Thomas Wythorne
Tammy Wynette
Terribly Witty
or
Tinky Winky
Just a few ideas/suggestions.
I was directed here through a link to a link to a link, and thoroughly enjoy your writing. Wonderful stuff.
hmmm.....I'm encouraged :-)
Perhaps not C19, perhaps a chick-lit reference... Luckily I read all those as well. I'm working on it...
Tweed Weaver
The Wanderer
The Wanker?
Terry Wogan
Tiny Willy?
A long shot, this one, but it just occured to me : Trespassers William?
