Mumsnet election ( 2)

This "wash-up" they keep talking about getting through. Previously, I've been leery of MPs too willing to don the marigolds (I've always found it best to run away at the snap of damp rubber against plump flesh) but then again these days anyone willing to do my washing-up gets my vote. There's a lot of it right now because my dishwasher's blinky and leaves sand in the bottom of every cup. A bit like it nips out to the beach when I'm not looking and rolls around in the surf for a while. I bet if I check it's had all the sunblock too.

Re yesterday's post - you couldn't possibly blog about the whole thing just for little me could you? I know I haven't voted since the last election before 1989 (when we departed to the big country in the west) and I'm probably far too fluffy to really understand all the ramifications,(object to pink, NOT my fav colour) but I might have a chance of understanding what's going on.

Seriously, things like your blog are what I miss over here - Americans take themselves so SERIOUSLY!

Hey Judith! Haven't you thought, there is a golden lining to every mishap! If you have to wash up all those cups, saucers, plates etc.by hand, you can scrub merrily away and imagine you're using sandpaper on the likes of some of the current petty minded and money grabbing politicians. Bet the mere thought of that will make you sail through the dishwashing!

LOL, I think my dishwasher has been joining yours on trips to the beach - sand in my cups too!

I kinda like how short and succinct the whole process is though, in the the the election seems to last four years. Also, there is no reason not to vote in the UK, it is so darn easy.
