Today

This cash for honours thing is gaining currency. As BBC Radio 4's Today programme mumbled on, my four-year-old lifted his bed-haired head from his rice krispies to ask: "Is Tony Blair going to prison?". Milk dripped from his spoon as he waited for my answer. "No," I said, "I very much doubt it." Difficult to judge which way my four-year-old would jump if breakfast focus push came to infant ballot but his brother is firmly behind TB. Already on his muffin, my six-year-old chimed in: "I think Prime Ministers should be allowed to do what they want." That's TB and a six-year-old then.

Life is so clear at six, isn't it? I like Tony Blair. It's just sad that in doing what he wanted to do, he chose to jump on George Bush's ship. I do hope he has a life preserver----

I've just started reading your blog and think it's grest! I used to live in Northumberland (after moving up there from down south) and now miss it so much that reading what you have to say about it (and looking at the links to the photography website) made me all choked up. Trust me, it will grow on you. My partner doesn't want to move up there because he says it's desolate. He couldn't be more wrong (in my opinion)! I hope you come to love it as much as I do - and that your book is a success.

Northumberland is a beautiful County, people who live up here as we do in the main feel very lucky and privileged.
It must be tough coming out of a city noisy, dirty, overpriced with busy road systems congestion
and a costa coffee on every corner.
What we do have is a quality of life that many people long for.
I hope you warm to our County, look out side of the box you might be pleased in what you find.

Good show Wifey can I take it that you are inducted into the Blair hating fraternity.Don`t let that fat socialist Broon off the hook though.

Should I send you a rosette? I think blue would do great things for your eyes

re newmania: i don't have a horse yet, why would I need a rosette?
