Arms and the woman

The thing is when you stop blogging for a while, you lose confidence you can blog at all. I came down with a bad flare-up of RSI or tendonitis or whatever you want to call it - something that makes you say "Ow" a lot and drop things. So I stopped, stopped blogging, stopped writing the next book, stopped all that hoovering I do to unwind (yeah right). And let's face it, it's fatal to stop. I decided I wasn't really worth listening to after all, and that's probably true, but I'm going to start again because otherwise I may go mad. The RSI is better than it was, I've got some voice recognition software now anyway, and, if all else fails I'll type with my nose. My nose can't spell of course, so prepare yourself for some really bad spelljng in the days ahead. And I'd really better not get a cold because that could play hell with my syntax. OK - brace yourself for summer.

Fantastic! Just when I had finished your book and loved it, and was determined to now follow your blog....you disappeared. I thought you might be feeling low or something. Glad you are back.
Good luck with the new book.
Look forward to it.

Welcome back to the land of blogging. Sorry to hear that you have been suffering from RSI or tendonitis. We were getting woried about you. My wife and I visit Waren Mill each September, and if we hadn't seen any more blogs we would have been trying to find out what was wrong whislt we were up in Northumberland. Talking of which, at the moment my blog is full of thoughts about where we will be visiting. See my efforts at billatbingley.blogspot.com Looking forward to your new book!

Thought you might have been enveloped by Northumbrian fog - but maybe only the writer's kind

And a cold could also play hell with the keyboard, so as someone who missed your posts whilst you were recovering, I recommend getting a wipe clean cover for it. Just in case...

I am a new reader to your blog, but welcome back. RSI is very painful, I got it a while back, hope it gets easier soon.

Welcome back, is it like falling off a bike? but with ver ver hurty wrists? Poor you, i thought you'd become Wife in the South again and were too embarrassed to admit it? I recently became wife in east anglia with pigs. It's a big change. Still, an improvement on Wife in Hackney with Bullet Proof Vests (in extra small for the kids)

Hope to hear from from your nose soon. Spellcheck is its friend.

I've checked so many times to see if you were there. I thought you had got sick of blogging but kept checking hoping you would be back. Lots of pain killers and gin will soon sort the RSI out.

Welcome back!
Have checked regularly and, like others, was concerned. But didn't want to pester or intrude.
Sorry about the tendonitis, I've heard it's very sore. Was it too much blogging?
Take it easy.

aha, so you did take a break, it wasn't my imagination. bugger about RSI, but hopefully better now?? random comment but a friend of mine wore special hand braces coz she got RSI from -i could have this bit wrong - pushing her pram!! no, that must be wrong, i think she had to wear them in order to be able to push the pram becoz of RSI.

i may not publish this comment.

i hate the baring your soul side of writing, it's like jumping into a void, and i feel so pathetic that until i receive feedback i feel insecure, 'yes, it was a shit piece of writing...but wait, 10 people have commented, oh well it was a fabulous piece of writing'. but maybe that's just me.

I'm not sure which I'm more glad about -- your blogging again or your new book. So wonderful to know you're back!
